Noun and its Cases

Today we discussed what Noun is. A noun is a part of speech that denotes a person, animal, place, thing, or idea. a little background about noun,The English word noun has its roots in the Latin word nomen, which means “name.” Every language has words that are nouns.

Noun is almost everything, It is the simpliest thing to deal in with.

We also discussed the cases of noun and I've learned that there are two types of noun cases the old English and the new English.

Old English
New English
Nominative
Objective
Objective
Subjective
Dative
Possessive
Possessive

Vocative



The New English is the one that we are using nowadays, The Objective Noun to show that the noun is the object of the preposition, Subjective Nouns either are the subject of the sentence or they are used as a predicate noun and the Possesive Noun  is used to show ownership of something

We use cases to know how a noun is used in their relation with the other words in the sentence or it simply indicate the position of a noun. 

There are sentence which has a noun as its head word or performs the same grammatical function as such a phrase,This are known as Noun Phrases.
