Pronoun

We all know that Pronouns are used as substitutes for nouns and noun phrases. Same with the other branches of English pronouns were as important as them.

Pronouns can do anything that Nouns can do, A pronoun can act as a subject, direct object, indirect object, object of the preposition, and more

Since pronouns are substitutes therefore noun can rest a little bit and let pronouns do his job.

Pronouns can be considered as the Partner-in-Crime of Nouns (LOL)

Pronouns can be divided into numerous categories for us to be able to know how to substitute it to a noun. Here are some of the Pronoun Cases that Allaine (Reporter) discussed:

  • Indefinite Pronoun – those referring to one or more unspecified objects, beings, or places
  • Personal Pronoun – those associated with a certain person, thing, or group; all except you have distinct forms that indicate singular or plural number
  • Reflexive Pronoun – those preceded by the adverb, adjective, pronoun, or noun to which they refer, and ending in –self or –selves
  • Demonstrative Pronoun – those used to point to something specific within a sentence
  • Possesive Pronoun – those designating possession or ownership
  • Relative Pronoun – those which refer to nouns mentioned previously, acting to introduce an adjective (relative) clause
  • Interrogative Pronoun – those which introduce a question
  • Reciprocal Pronoun– those expressing mutual actions or relationship; i.e. one another
  • Intensive Pronoun – those ending in –self or –selves and that serve to emphasize their antecedents
So that's it you Guys I hope that this can help you on your Studies. See you on my next one. :)

Singular and Plural Forms of the Noun (Regular and Irregular)

The difference between singular and plural nouns is easy to recognize but the difference between singular and plural nouns is simple once you know what to look for.
When a noun indicates one only, it is a singular noun. When a noun indicates more than one, it is plural.
Here are some of the ways on how we can make a singular word a plural one
  • Most singular nouns form the plural by adding -s. (Regular Plural)
  • A singular noun ending in s, x, z, ch, sh makes the plural by adding-es.
  • A singular noun ending in a consonant and then y makes the plural by dropping the y and adding-ies.
If we know this ideas it would be easier for us to identify what a noun is.

There are times when the Regular and Irregular Nouns have the same form and nothing should be changed(Species-Species),some comes from the Latin Words(Focus to Foci),there are also nouns that end in -s but not plural (News) *Bold words are Example*

So that's it you Guys, I hope I helped you with your Grammar Stuffs
Hope to see you on my next one. Bye :)

Noun and its Cases

Today we discussed what Noun is. A noun is a part of speech that denotes a person, animal, place, thing, or idea. a little background about noun,The English word noun has its roots in the Latin word nomen, which means “name.” Every language has words that are nouns.

Noun is almost everything, It is the simpliest thing to deal in with.

.
We also discussed the cases of noun and I've learned that there are two types of noun cases the old English and the new English.

Old English
New English
Nominative
Objective
Objective
Subjective
Dative
Possessive
Possessive

Vocative

The New English is the one that we are using nowadays, The Objective Noun to show that the noun is the object of the preposition, Subjective Nouns either are the subject of the sentence or they are used as a predicate noun and the Possesive Noun  is used to show ownership of something

We use cases to know how a noun is used in their relation with the other words in the sentence or it simply indicate the position of a noun.

There are sentence which has a noun as its head word or performs the same grammatical function as such a phrase,This are known as Noun Phrases.

Kilgore Lesson Plan

Today our professor discussed what kilgore lesson plan is.It is a Plan used to make a discussion organized and on point. It is a review of topics that explain the different techniques and ways on how to make the discussion lively and some strategies in teaching grammar.

It is really helpful because it is like planning everything. We seek for different academic strategies that we can use to provide different ideas for our students.

The goals are also included on this one for the students to be able to know our aim in doing such discussion. We have to give them a clear insight onto what is the real essence of our topic and what they can get from this that they can use in their future academic practices.

So that's it you Guys, I hope I helped you with your Grammar Stuffs
Hope to see you on my next one. Bye :)

IELTS,TOEFL and TESOL

There are different ways on how to asses the English Capability of an individual.

IELTS or International English Language Testing System is accessed through  reading, writing, listening and speaking, and is designed to reflect how we will use English at study, at work, and at play, in our future new life abroad. This one is really a must for us to be able to go with the flow of that foreign country that we are going to.

TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language is a test to measure the English Languagability  of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities, Most of us is dreaming to enroll in English Speaking universities because we have this idea that is is more advanced and I guess English is the easiest language to use since it is known as the universal language*duh*

TESOL or Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages, as i've said a while ago english is the universal language and most of us can speak and understand English. This test is design to test the English Capablities of a person who is wishing to live on a place were English is the first or common language, it is used for us to know how to grasp the idea of that english speaking place and for us to be belong to the group.

If I would have to choose one out of tis three given tests I would probably choose the IELTS because I strongly believe that it is broader than the other test and it is more complex and  it is really useful to everyone who wish to know english in the deapest and most real sense.

Grammar

Hey, Paul Here.

So we are now here to deal with *Drum Roll* GRAMMAR!

Speaking is one of the most effective way of expressing an idea, with that being said we need to use proper words in proper positions for us to be able to convey our message effectively,

Grammar is the rule that we follow to put our words in their respective position, it helps us to make our phrases clearer and right in a conversation.

Grammar itself is a broad topic, though we use speaking every time we are not aware about the grammar that we are using because we thought that there is only one Grammar but in reality there are different kinds of grammar that we can use in different situations.

Descriptive and Prescriptive Grammar are the two most important type of grammar.

VS.

This world is about the universal gaming, we want something to fit in everything so grammar is giving you what you want, Universal Grammar it is,

Universal Grammar is consists of unconscious disciplines that let us decide whether a sentence is correctly formed or NAHH. in any given language, certain sentences are perceived as correct while others are not.

wait there's more

There is a general theory of the organization of natural language as developed by some linguists. This is a language based on the data and descriptions of many languages. it offers a platform for both theoretical linguists interested in representation and formalism and descriptive linguists interested in data and analysis.

Let's now this with some formal stuffs LOL

Grammaticality is a feature by its own and should not be identified by acceptability and so its acceptability should be identified by its own meaning. like us, Grammar also wants to be accepted in this silly society so he mold himself and try to be acceptable.
Grammaticality is your guide whether a phrase is correct or just accepted.

Boy I'm telling you there is a big difference between being Correct and being Accepted.

So that's it you Guys, I hope I helped you with your Grammar Stuffs
Hope to see you on my next one. Bye :)
